Our Care

Postnatal Care

Frequent visits and 24 hour a day access to a midwife is standard postpartum care from Access Midwifery. We visit at home or in hospital regularly in the first few days to help establish breastfeeding, newborn care and confident parenting. This care is available up to 6 weeks following the delivery, though the frequency of visits changes according to client need. The midwife is a primary care provider for both the woman and her newborn. We work to ensure a smooth transition back to medical care at the end of your time with us.
