Meet Janice Brown

Hi!

I’m Janice Brown.  I’m looking forward to spending a few days with Hope over this next month.  I am in my first year of the 2 year Masters in Nursing Nurse Practitioner program through the University of Victoria.  This is an exciting and challenging time in my life.  I have been a nurse for 16 years.  The majority of my time in nursing has been as a community health nurse here in Victoria.  In this work I have provided home nursing care services to many types of clients in their homes.

The Nurse Practitioner program is focused on family care.  I am looking forward to the clients I will be seeing here with Hope in her practice alongside the Access Midwifery Midwives. The knowledge and experiences I look forward to in this clinical placement will be valuable as I progress through the Family Nurse Practitioner program.
